• Outpatient Therapy - Adults

When working with Adults, I typically take a Psychodynamic Approach. This means pulling different approaches together to meet the needs of my client. Therapy is only one hour per week, that leaves 167 hours outside of therapy for you to do additional work. I will sometimes provide additional resources, ‘homework,’ and skills for you. I always find that clients respond best when they know what goals they are working on outside of session from week to week.

  • Outpatient Therapy - Teens

I work with Teens ages 15-19, but require that your teen be cooperative, engaged, and willing to participate in the therapy process. I love to work with students in transition periods (such as the transition from high school to college). As a first generation college student myself, I understand how daunting the academic world can be. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQAI+ community and love working with teens who are exploring their identity.

  • Couples Therapy

I utilize Emotion Focused Therapy when treating couples. It is my belief that couples therapy is most successful when I am able to focus on the relationship as my client. Together we will work on De-escalation (disrupting negative interaction patterns), Restructuring (establishing an emotional foundation for improvement), and Consolidation (building new positive interaction patterns.

  • Addiction Counseling

Addiction counseling is a great passion of mine and how I entered the mental health field. I believe that substance use is a coping mechanism for other untreated disorders. We can work together to treat your mental health and substance use in-tadem, focusing on the catalysts for use, breaking unhealthy patterns, and learning skills that will help you remain sober. If sobriety seems too daunting, we can work together to form a harm reduction approach to your use.

  • Group Therapy

I have a passion for group work and believe that there is nothing more healing than sharing diverse perspectives, collaborating and learning from one another, and developing better understanding of our interactions with others. I offer groups based on need and topic. Group therapy is also a great alternative to individual counseling, as it is often more affordable.
